SUMMARY:Municipal Election Qualifying Period Closes
DESCRIPTION:NOTICE\nThe qualifying period for candidacy in the March 10\, 2020 Municipal General Election opens Friday\, December 6th at 9:00am and ends on Friday\, December 20th at 1:00pm. \nA candidate needs a MINIMUM of FIVE (5) signed and completed Nominating Petitions turned in during the Qualifying period.  All nominators MUST BE qualified electors in the Town of Redington Beach at the time the petition is signed. \nRegistered electors of the Town shall vote and elect 2 (two) members of the Board of Commissioners\, each for a two-year term of office to expire subject to the municipal election in March 2019. \nNOTE: It is suggested that a candidate obtain ten (10) signed petitions to ensure sufficient qualified signatures. \n  \nThe Town of Redington Beach holds elections on the second Tuesday in March of each year\, or in conjunction with a Presidential Preference Primary. Commissioners and the Mayor are elected for staggered two-year terms.
